50 BUCKS!!

I was super excited because I only paid a dollar and it is the middle of March. I didn't really want to hold it until Fall because it was large!! Plus, the lady buying it wrote, "It is like totally awesome!!"

Ahh, so some woman will be wearing this beauty in Idaho!!

I also sold a wool sweater for 19.99 to a lady in Connecticut. That is the thing remember you can sell anything at all times, it is still cold up there!!

This week is spring break so I have been getting a pile of stuff together to list, so hopefully some more woo hoos will be out there!! Did great at the Jack and Jules sale for my girl, but gotta find some cute stuff for my boys.

I am just a little excited. Plus it is my birthday week so a great way to start, then the vintage star wars sheets sold for 34.99 and a John Lennon mobile sold for 34.99 and it was broken!!!!

Vintage Snowsuits and the Babblin Boo

Yesterday, I was so excited to have my mother's day out to get my sanity back!! All my peeps having this flu b has been rough, but we are all back in the groove now!! So I had to hit up some of my favorite thrifts to see what I had missed last week and to see if I could find some treasures for ebay. Well boy did I ever!! The first is a Wild Hot Pink Snowsuit for a Woman!! I had heard that different ski resorts have an 80s day for skiers, well someone will grab this one I think, here is the pic..

This baby is a Roffe, which means nothing to the average woman, but to a skier is important I guess, plus it says Passion inside!! HA!!

Then on to another thrift where hanging on the dollar rack, was you guessed it ANOTHER women's snow suit!! This one I was super excited about because it is a brand that I have looked for for YEARS!! This one takes the cake, it is an OBERMEYER!! These are expensive so if you see one, get it!! The lady checking me out laughed and said, we wondered who in the world would buy this!! Of course I smiled!! I said, well it is going on ebay!!
HEre is this beauty in a size 12 ladies no less!!

Woo Hoo!! I know this one is going to bring in some money!! Happy Day!!

Then off to the Goodwill where I got my last treasure. Babbling Boo from Monsters, Inc. Any of these toys do well because they are hard to find now. I sold one of these dolls about a year ago for I think around 50 dollars. So when I saw her I did a little dance, whoop whoop!!

So I listed all 3 and now will wait and see. I had a beautiful day to enjoy and was rejuvenated to see my babies!! Mother's Day out is a beautiful thing!!!

Dancing with a Dirty Chicken in a Vintage Prom Dress

I know that title is crazy but this week has been a crazy week!! My sweet Samuel turned 8 this week! It is amazing how time flies. You think that baby will never get here and then you turn around and the baby is 8!! We had a great dinner at Hot Rod's Diner in Maryville. Check it out for an awesome hamburger!!

But the Dirty chicken story is from Walmart. As I was trying to get a rotisserie chicken from the HOT counter, bam, the bottom fell out, and the chicken rolled into my buggy. Juice is everywhere. I pick it up by the leg, off it falls, try the other leg, off it falls, then just roll the body into the container and think, NOW WHAT!! So I walk back up to the door greeter, who proceeds to ask me, Ma'm, do you want the chicken?? I was like no, it is dirty chicken!! It was on that buggy!! So he says, I think you will have to go to Customer Service. Don't know if they will beleive me!!, Uh, okay, so he escorts me to customer service, the manager says, Ma'm do you want the chicken?? I am like about to scream, I don't want your funky buggy chicken!! But I remain calm as all good Southern ladies should and say, I just wanted that mess cleaned up and you to THROW AWAY THE DIRTY CHICKEN!! Ha!! Of course the fact I had on my hot pink Roos, makes me think I am probably on you tube somewhere, dancing with that dirty chicken.

Which brings me to the vintage prom dresses, if you have any from the 80s, Jessica McClintock, Gunne Sax, bubble bottoms, check out ebay. I found some beauties this week and have them listed. We'll see if they are woo hoos or boo boos. Here is one of my favorites!!

An Awesome Week Here even though one little Chick had the FLU!!

Okay, Did you hear me whooping for joy over here this week?? On Thursday, my dear Max who is on the autism spectrum, read 5 sentences to me. Then he read those 5 sentences to Andrew. We were cheering, crying, so excited!! Max was excited too. He knew we were so proud of him!! This is an answer to prayer and we give God the praise!! We are just unlocking that little angel!! Thanks for all that have prayed for our Max and keep em coming!!

Then I sold something crazy on ebay!! Are you ready, I am telling you, anything can sell on ebay!! I sold this doll, which is a My Disney Girl but her arm broke off!! She was a yard sale find that ML carried around for a while then one day, off with her arm!! So I thought, hmm, I can't fix her but somebody else may want a one-armed doll!! So she sold for............

12 bucks!!

I was very excited!! This doll was taking up room in my ebay bin!! Now this week, I have lots of Mary Lauren's clothes listed, and the bids are a coming! The mommies will pay big bucks for smocked dresses!! Hope to have some whoo hoos tomorrow night!

Where have I been?? Battling the Flu B!!

Well Flu B struck my house, I have one down with it. Hopefully, it is going to be the only one. Mary Lauren has been a great little trooper. However, I missed out on my thrifting on Tuesday, it is like an addiction!! Ha!! I did sell the coordinating FIRE KING cups and Saucers!! So I was very excited about that. Plus my hubby was glad to see that stuff go, go , go!! So keep your eyes open for Jadite Fire King dishes. They have a nice resell value!! I will get back to posting daily once my peep is all well!! The little chicky needs lots of love and we have been using the Lysol!!

Oh yeah, one happy mommy over here. Sold a pair of twin smurf sheets for 60 bucks!! Yippeee!! If you loved Smurfette as a girl, or Brainy Smurf, get those babies listed!! It is nice to wake up from a nap on this cold Saturday to a sell. Did I make money while I was sleeping?? Yep!!

Okay after the crazy week we had here, I am super excited about this sell I just had on Ebay!! If you ever see these jadite green dishes, don't pass on them. There is a following for them. I had bought these at the 411 yard sale a couple of years ago. I was going to sell them, then I would keep them, etc. Well I decided they are living in the basement, I am not going to let my kids eat on them!! So I listed them this week, had a buyer say hey I will give you 30 more than you have them listed, oh sweet!! So these lovely dishes sold for..................

150 bucks!!!

So even though my head is pounding tonight, it was a  WOO HOO for me!!

You know you are stressed WHEN>>>>>

You Know you are Stressed WHEN....

you look down at 12:00 p.m. and your pants are on inside out!! Needless to say, we had a wild night yesterday. Hot water heater died, water went all over the place, had an aussie over cleaning the mess up, realized renting fans is VERY expensive, then realized no HOT water. So plumber to the rescue but he didn't get here til 11!! So as he was here, I looked down and thought, okay I am really stressed, I have my pants on inside out!! Ha, wonder if plumber noticed. Hey he did fix my toilet too for a mere 8 bucks. Sweet, always ask while they are there, he didn't charge any extra to do it. So we now have a Nice New 50 gallon hot water heater that is made in the USA!! Samuel will be so happy, he doesn't understand why most of the stuff we get says Made in China, in fact last night he was waving a little American flag and he says, Mommy, why does this say Made in China? Aussie guy says, good question Mate!! Ha!! Well, we have to keep smiling because things could be a lot worse and hey it was clean water on my carpet and we are all fine!! Just another crazy day in Lewis Land!!

Today Mary Lauren and I headed to K. Roger's or as you know it Kroger's for our weekly grocery shopping. I am also a couponer!! We like to call Kroger's a.k.a. K. Roger's because sometimes we just need a date. Ha!! But anyway, we got there and of course there was a car buggy available so that is what Mary Lauren wanted. Well, off we go, and by the way K. Roger's has some great deals this week, goldfish all varieties 99 cents if you buy 10!! All kinds of specials, check them out!! But anyway, I am driving this HUGE car buggy and the next thing I know I take out a Macaroni and Cheese Display. Oh dear!! Then a sweet lady is bending over to help me clean it up, while Mary Lauren is hollering, Mess Mommy Mess!! She is so funny. My laugh for the day at K. Roger's, gotta watch where I am going.

I love Faithful Provisions and Southern Savers to check for specials at Kroger's. Check them out, using coupons does save money!!

This has been a great week for me on ebay. I have sold several things this week on buy it now's. However, ebay is running an auction sale this week, so if you have ever thought about trying to auction something, JUMP IN!!!

My big sale this week is a Columbia Coat that sold for 39.99!! I was very happy!! Here's a pic of it!!

Plus I had several low ball offers, but I always countered, then BAM!! It sold!!

We had a gorgeous weekend here in TN. I am counting down until garage sale season!!!

Well, today I had time with my oldest and we went to McKay's in Ktown. A great used bookstore that has books, video games, movies, music, you name it they probably have it. Such fun finds. We found some Diary of a Wimpy Kid books, some xbox 360 games and one  Wii game. My funny boy was so excited, he is a bargain hunter like his Mommy!!  I am glad that he likes to read. I think all 3 of my kids are going to love books like me. That is the one thing they all want to do right now, look or read a book!! What are some of my favorties?? Many nights we have sung that rhyme, and now Andrew and I can sing it without the book, It's Pajama time, hop into bed, turn out the lights, you can have a party in your dreams tonight...

Well I am going to go do just that, have a party in my dreams!!

Wild Wednesday

Okay, don't really know how WILD this Wednesday is going to be, but it was fun to call this post that. I have 1 kid with strep and 1 who had fever last night. She is acting okay this morning, so hopefully it is just sinus stuff.  I had a great Tuesday, got some awesome stuff to list on Ebay. My favorites, 3 Members Only Jackets. Oh yeah, I didn't wear one in the 80s, but my oh so hip Hubby did!! He also had a pair of peach pants or so I am told!!

My friends Kroger has a great deal going on the goldfish this week, all flavors 99 cents as part of the buy 10 save 5 bucks event!! I went yesterday and was tossing those things in my buggy like a crazy woman!! My cashier didn't tell me I had bought one of yesterday, just said, "Ya, like goldfish??" Ha, made me smile!!

Mindy's Monday Madness!!

Well Mondays are usually pretty crazy here, laundry, laundry, laundry. and there is still  more laundry.  Today though, met a friend at the mall and mall walked with all those hip mall walkers!! Mary Lauren had to say hi to all the men and ladies!! So funny!!

Her new thing is calling me "MOM"! at certain times. It is so funny!! This girl was telling me today at Target, MOM more clothes in buggy!! I had to keep telling her, no, we don't need that!! Is she really only 2?? How am I going to handle this at 13??

I came home to a sale on Ebay so that was a happy moment. It wasn't the boots, but I love coming home, checking my email and seeing that something sold!!!

Plus I am counting down until the Aldi opens here in Maryville. They don't take coupons but it sounds like it is going to be fun and have some good deals!!

Busy day here with an awesome church service, Max's Challenger Upward basketball game, and more church!! Cereal for supper, and bam back to the blog!!

My Find of the Week

My find of the week was a woo hoo!! I have been selling on ebay for almost 8 years. I have certain brands I look for when I am out thrifting, and one of these is Salvatore Ferragamo. Well, here in Tennessee, I didn't think anyone had heard of good old Sal but somebody did!! Then they took them to the Goodwill where I snatched them up!! I will post a pic of these adorable black vinyl snow boots with a kitten heel!! Get out!! They are too cute, but this chick is going to put them for the ebay world. We don't get enough snow here in Tennessee for this stay at home mom to enjoy them!! Now to get that pic.
